- White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain called out Sen. Ted Cruz on Twitter.
- Cruz said SCOTUS nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson will be "the most extreme" justice in US history.
- Klain responded by saying "nothing" in KBJ's record "supports this assertion."
White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain called out Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas on Monday for the lawmaker's comments about Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Joe Biden's Supreme Court nominee.
Cruz has said he plans on voting against Jackson's confirmation after badgering her with questions well over his allotted speaking time. The Texas Republican took his rhetoric even further on Monday during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, saying that Jackson "will prove to be the most extreme and the furthest left justice ever to serve on the Supreme Court."

Shortly afterwards, Klain tweeted out his response.
"Nothing in Judge Jackson's record, experience, or temperament supports this assertion," Klain wrote.
