- VP Kamala Harris addressed uncertainty of whether President Biden will run for reelection in 2024.
- "Absolutely not," Harris replied when asked if she and Biden have discussed the next election.
- Both Harris and Biden are bogged down with historically low job approval numbers.
With Democrats split over whether they even want President Joe Biden to be the party's nominee again in 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris offered no additional clarity Thursday on how the administration is approaching reelection.
When asked by "Good Morning America" host George Stephanopoulos whether she and Biden have discussed the next election, Harris was quick to say, "Absolutely not."
Biden, who turns 79 on Saturday, has previously said it is his "plan" and "expectation" to run for reelection in 2024, but has not fully committed to it.
Harris and Biden have been struggling with historically low job approval ratings, with Harris more unpopular than any vice president in modern history.

"Has President Biden told you whether he's gonna seek reelection in 2024?" Stephanopoulos asked Harris earlier in the interview.
"What President Biden and I started our day talking about, as we normally do, is bringing in members of our intelligence community to review the Presidential Daily Brief and talk about classified information around threats to our national security and hotspots around the world," Harris said, not addressing anything related to reelection.
