First, there was Narwhal, the puppy born with a tail on its head, and now there’s Jubilee, who is melting everyone’s hearts online.
Jubilee is a 4-year-old husky who was dropped off at Husky House, a rescue shelter in New Jersey, in May 2018 because her breeder said she looked too “weird.” Not everyone agrees.
In fact, when the shelter posted pictures of Jubilee’s cross eyes, gigantic smile, and expressive eyebrows on its Facebook page, the post went instantly viral.
"Huskies are majestic looking dogs and I don't know why I don't look like them," the Facebook post reads. "I wish I was beautiful so someone would want me to be their dog."
Danielle Lahmeyer, who works at Husky House, said Jubilee is a "very sweet dog."
"We think she is absolutely beautiful," Lahmeyer told Insider. "She's a little shy at first, but if you offer her a treat she's your best friend."
Jubilee also loves to play with other dogs, but she does not like cats, which is typical of the husky breed.
"Doesn't anyone want a funny looking husky?" the Facebook post continues. "I wish I had a family of my own who could love me even though I'm not pretty."
Lahmeyer said since the post went viral - garnering over 23,000 likes - Husky House has received several adoption requests, but Jubilee "is still waiting for her loving, forever home."
"We are so happy to see that everyone feels she is as wonderful as we always knew she was," Lahmeyer said.
