• Kamala Harris says she's ready for another debate with Donald Trump.
  • Trump, however, was non-committal when asked about it in the post-debate spin room.
  • "But I don't know if we're gonna do another one. I wouldn't mind," Trump told reporters.

Vice President Kamala Harris just had her first presidential debate with former President Donald Trump, and she's already raring for round two.

"Under the bright lights, the American people got to see the choice they will face this fall at the ballot box: between moving forward with Kamala Harris, or going backwards with Trump," Harris campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon said in a statement on Tuesday night, shortly after the first debate concluded.

"That's what they saw tonight and what they should see at a second debate in October. Vice President Harris is ready for a second debate. Is Donald Trump?"

However, Trump did not immediately commit to a second debate when asked about it at the post-debate spin room.

"I think it was the best debate I've ever, personally, that I've had," Trump told reporters in the spin room.

"Now, she wants to do another one because she got beaten tonight," Trump added. "But I don't know if we're gonna do another one. I wouldn't mind."

Trump also lauded his own "polls" and said he had a "good time" at the debate.

Tuesday's debate was the first time Harris got to cross swords with Trump since taking over as the Democratic nominee from President Joe Biden.

Biden had his first presidential debate with Trump back in June but dropped out of the race just a month after his poor performance against Trump.

This time, Trump's visible rage was on full display on the split screen. Meanwhile, Harris managed to bait Trump on his rally crowd size, while serving up some serious side-eye.
