1. Newly-leaked documents about offshore accounts were published on Sunday. The “Paradise Papers” have so far shown Russian ties with the US commerce secretary, Twitter and Facebook.
2. US President Donald Trump has kicked off his 12-day tour of Asia. After meeting Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Trump said better economic ties are needed because “Japan has been winning” on trade.
3. Sacked Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont was released from Belgian custody. Puigdemont turned himself in on the weekend after Spain issued a warrant for his arrest.
4. At least 26 people were killed when a shooter opened fire at a Texas church. Victims ranged in age from 5 to 72 years old, and the suspect died after being chased by police.
5. Nearly two-thirds of UK firms are ready to trigger contingency plans within months. 60% of firms will move staff or slow recruitment if a transition deal isn't agreed on by March 2018.
6. Saudi Arabia arrested 11 princes and dozens of ministers in a new anti-corruption probe. This included billionaire Prince al-Waleed bin Talal, an investor in Twitter and Citigroup.
7.Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri unexpectedly resigned. In a national speech, Hariri said he feared the same fate as his father, a former Prime Minister, who was assassinated in 2005.
8. Special counsel Robert Mueller has enough evidence to indict former US national security adviser Michael Flynn. Evidence relates to Flynn's lobbying work in 2016 while he was a top Trump campaign surrogate.
9. At least 27 people have died in Vietnam from Typhoon Damrey. More than 40,000 homes have been damaged and there are widespread power cuts.
10. Thousands of South Koreans protested ahead of Trump's visit this week. Trump will visit the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday.
