4. The UK’s chancellor urged the EU to clarify its goals for a post-Brexit relationship. Philip Hammond is currently in Germany promoting an EU-UK trade deal.
5. Mudslides in California have now killed 17 people. A heavy storm on Tuesday triggered flash floods in Santa Barbara.
6. Canada lodged a complaint against the US to the World Trade Organization. Canada cited almost 200 examples of alleged US wrongdoing mostly concerning global trading partners.
7. Israel created a special unit to forcibly deport thousands of asylum seekers. Israel is also offering to pay asylum seekers to leave the country.
8. Anti-government protests in Tunisia entered their third day. Clashes erupted in over 20 towns after the government hiked the prices of basic goods and introduced new taxes.
9. Poland's major airport closed after a plane made an emergency landing. The airport reopened after four hours with no casualties.
10. Wikileaks founder Julian Assange may have gotten Ecuadorian citizenship. Assange was granted asylum from the Ecuadorian embassy in London and faces arrest in the US for leaking sensitive documents.
