5. Russia's intelligence chief said returning ISIS fighters are a "real threat" to Russia. ISIS was militarily defeated in Iraq and Syria last week, and roughly 400 former foreign fighters have returned home to Russia.
6. A top Facebook exec is joining the board of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. The Facebook Messenger boss David Marcus previously served as Paypal's president.
7. India is buying world's emptiest airport to limit China's territorial dominance in Sri Lanka. India is likely hoping to prevent China from turning a nearby port into a naval base by limiting air access.
8. Venezuela is one of President Donald Trump's biggest priorities, according to a former top national security official. Trump has focused much of his foreign-policy attention on Iran and North Korea, but his administration has taken action against Venezuela.
9. Australia's central bank governor called Bitcoin "speculative mania." He also said the bank has no plans to issue digitised Australian dollars based on blockchain technology anytime soon.
10. South Korea called for an emergency meeting on cryptocurrencies. The global community has begun discussing how to deal with crypto-trading following the launch of Bitcoin futures.
