• Putin debuted another massive table while meeting with members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
  • According to Russian state media, the table is "long but round."
  • Putin has distanced himself while meeting with other world leaders at a different, impractically long table.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has a new long table — but this one is round.

According to Russian state media, Putin was joined by the leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization countries at the massive round table Monday.

The group discussed "deeper military cooperation and more efficient interaction on an entire range of current and new challenges and threats, including those emanating from Afghanistan," the Kremlin said, according to Russian state media outlet Tass

Putin has met with a number of high-ranking officials at a different ridiculously long — but straight — white wooden table, including French President Emmanuel Macron and head of the UN General António Guterres.

Media reports have hinted Putin is obsessed with his health, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Guardian wrote that the impractically lengthy table might be used to limit Putin's exposure to other people. It could also be an attempt to appear intimidating or to show guests his power in Russia, The Guardian reported.

The previously-used long table became an infamous symbol, appearing in state TV dispatches after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
