Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee is bringing its famous peach mango pie to the UK.
The dessert is being added to the menu at Jollibee's 11 UK restaurants in the coming days. It is being launched at the chain's flagship UK store in London's Leicester Square on Thursday, before being rolled out nationwide the next day.
Jollibee said it sold more than 45 million peach mango pies globally in 2021.
The pie, served hot, consists of a pastry shell filled with mango and peach. In the US, the pie weighs 3.3 ounces and comes in at 270 calories.
Jollibee told Insider that it had received "thousands of comments from fans demanding that the peach mango pie be made available" in the UK.
"Our UK loyal customers have been asking and so we have delivered," Adam Parkinson, business head of Jollibee UK, said in a statement.
The pie first appeared on menus in 1995 and is now available in restaurants in countries including the Philippines, the US, and the UAE.
The pie will bulk up Jollibee UK's dessert menu, which up until now consisted only of three different sundaes.
Jollibee has more than 1,500 restaurants across 17 countries. The chain was founded in 1978, but only came to the UK in 2018 and is currently limited to a handful of cities.
Its UK menu revolves mainly around fried chicken, which is sold in sandwiches, wraps, buckets, with rice, and with gravy or sriracha mayo on top of fries. The chain also sells a so-called "Yumburger," but one of the items that really sets it apart from other fast-food chains is its "Jolly Spaghetti," which is topped with chopped hot dog pieces.
Jollibee Group, its parent company, is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange and also owns Smashburger as well as Burger King's Filipino franchise.
