• The funeral for Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump, was held in New York City on Wednesday.
  • Her 1992 Vanity Fair cover was displayed by the altar, according to photos published from the event.
  • A headline about Hillary Clinton, which was on the original cover, was gone from the one displayed Wednesday.

Ivana Trump's funeral displayed a copy of her 1992 Vanity Fair cover, which appeared to edit out a headline about Hillary Clinton.

Funeral goers gathered at St. Vincent Ferrer Roman Catholic Church in Manhattan's Upper East Side on Wednesday to mourn the first wife of former President Donald Trump.

Ivana, who was 73, was found dead at the foot of her townhouse's staircase. The New York City medical examiner ruled her death accidental.

Two of Ivana's magazine covers were on display by the altar at the funeral, including her May 1992 Vanity Fair cover, according to photos published by the New York Post and People.

The original cover, which can be seen here, features her sitting on a yellow couch alongside the headline: "Ivana Be a Star."

Hillary Clinton's name was also featured on the cover under the headline: "Hillary Clinton. Will she get to the White House with Bill or without him?" (The issue came out during Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign.)

But the headline about Hillary Clinton appeared to have been edited out of the version displayed at Ivana's memorial, according to the images from People and the Post.

The photos also showed that the two other headlines on the cover — which were about the conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh and the former Philippines first lady Imelda Marcos — remained on the version displayed at the funeral.

It is not clear why Hillary Clinton's name wasn't there. Representatives for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and Vanity Fair did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton used to be friends, with the Clintons attending Trump's wedding to his current wife, Melania Trump. But that relationship soured after the two ran against each other in the 2016 presidential election, with Trump sharing and encouraging conspiracy theories about her.

Ivana Trump's two-hour mass, attended by the former president and the couple's three children  — Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Jr. —  was a "big, glamorous celebration of her life," the publicist R. Couri Hay, who was at the service, told Insider.

The altar was decorated with thousands of Ivana's favorite roses and her coffin was draped in a purple cloth, Hay said.

All three of Donald and Ivana Trump's children delivered eulogies, Hay said. Trump did not offer any remarks, although photos taken after the funeral showed him appearing visibly upset.
