50 Cent has been trying to sell his 52-room Connecticut mansion for 12 years. Now he finally has – at an 84% price cut, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.
The home sold for $2.9 million in a sale brokered by Jennifer Leahy of Douglas Elliman.
The rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, bought the home in Farmington from the former boxer Mike Tyson for $4.1 million in 2003 in a sale that set a record for the most expensive home sold there, The Journal reported.
Farmington is about 80 miles north of the affluent city of Greenwich.
The 50,000-square-foot mansion was originally listed at $18.5 million in 2015, but it has seen several price cuts since then and was most recently listed at $4.995 million, The Journal said.
The home boasts 19 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, a nightclub, an indoor court, multiple game rooms, a green-screen room, a recording studio, and many other opulent features, according to the listing from Douglas Elliman.

Jonathan Miller, a national real-estate appraiser, told Realtor.com that 50 Cent's house took so long to sell because "it's just oversized for the market," adding, "When you have a property that is well outside the norm, it takes a lot longer to sell."

And the pool with a stone archway and foliage has likely hosted more than a few extravagant pool parties. A representative for 50 Cent told The Journal that the proceeds of the sale would be donated to the G-Unity Foundation.
