Hillary Clinton applauded the Chicago Cubs’ World Series win on Wednesday night.

“They did it! 108 years later and the drought is finally over. Way to make history,” Clinton’s tweet read. The Cubs survived a furious comeback and an extra-inning rain delay to knock off the Indians in 10 innings, 8-7.

The Democratic presidential nominee is a native of Chicago. Clinton paused briefly from a week of campaigning to cheer on her hometown team - with the Cubs' historic win potentially foreshadowing what could be a historic election on November 8.
