A new app allows TikTokers to see their 10 most-viewed videos of 2020. Retroplay, which was developed by James Wellemeyer and Spencer Yen, finds the 10 most poplar TikTok’s on a creator’s profile, then allows them to create a highlight reel with four of them, taking five seconds from each video.
Wellemeyer told Insider it’s a bit like Instagram’s “top 9” collages, but for TikToks.
The steps are very simple.
- Download the Retroplay app.
- Type in your username.
- The 10 most-viewed videos appear.
- Choose your favorite four videos.
- Upload the videos and the app will create your highlight reel.
You can also type in the username of any creator with a public TikTok profile, such as Addison Rae or Charli D’Amelio, to see what their most-viewed TikToks of the year were.
The app will also show users a list of the most-viewed creators of the year, with detailed 2020-in-review statistics for popular creators. Willywonkatiktok, or “Hot Wonka,” for example, has gotten 2.4 billion views from 425 videos, while Bella Poarch has racked up 7.9 billion from 157.
Retroplay is available to downloaded on the App Store.
