The record-breaking rainfall from Tropical Storm Harvey has caused unprecedented flooding in Texas since the storm first made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane on Friday night.
Harvey has drenched some regions of Texas with more than 50 inches of water. One dramatic photo posted online shows waves rising along a portion of Interstate 10 in Texas.

The image, which has been shared widely on social media, shows waves flowing alongside the interstate. An overhead freeway sign can be seen in the distance just a few feet above the floodwater. Storyful editor David Clinch shared video of the scene, which shows a boat speeding past partially submerged buildings.
An additional 6 to 12 inches of rain was expected north and east of Houston and into southwestern Louisiana as of 1 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, the National Hurricane Center reported.
