- Allies have a plan to fill more federal jobs with loyalists if Trump's reelected, Axios reported.
- George Conway told CNN the plan would replace thousands of civil servants with "ultra-MAGA" people.
- "It's going to be more corrupt and lawless than what we saw in the last four years," he said.
George Conway said if former President Donald Trump is reelected in 2024 his administration would be more corrupt than the last.
"He was great at ripping away guard rails for four years and now he wants to destroy all the guard rails even if it means the cost of the civil service. Even if it means the basically costs of a functioning United States government ," Conway told CNN.
Conway was responding to reports Trump plans to fill various government positions with loyalists.
Axios reported that Trump allies were already planning how to reshape the federal government if he's reelected in 2024. People familiar with the plan told Axios that the plan included "purging" thousands of civil servants and putting loyalists in top positions.
Conway, who has been vocal about his opposition to Trump and his policies, said the new plan appears to even exclude people who choose country over party.
"They're planning to create lists of people who are more loyal to ... Trump than they are the constitution and pick people from that list and not only that, expand the number of jobs they can appoint these people too," he said.
According to Axios, the plan includes reinstating a "Schedule F" executive order, that was removed after President Joe Biden took office, that would create a new category of federal workers who have some influence over policy.
"They want to throw out thousands of civil servants so they could put people who are ultra-MAGA in," Conway said. "It's going to be more corrupt and lawless than what we saw in the last four years."
