At long last, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have finalized a deal for a boxing-only, mega-fight, according to Yahoo’s Kevin Iole.

According to Iole, terms are not yet know, but the fight is set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26.

Mayweather is expected to make the announcement as early as Wednesday, according to Iole.

Rumors and reports of a fight have been floating for almost a year, with both fighters openly acknowleding a potential bout. However, a deal was held up over money and several logistical issues, including McGregor’s contract with UFC.

In recent months, however, the two sides appeared to get closer to a deal, with UFC president Dana White even getting involved in the negotiations. In May, White said that the two agreed to a fight, and they were waiting to finalize the terms.

While terms are still unknown, it's been reported that Mayweather would get the larger purse, potentially as high as $100 million, according to White, likely the motivation in luring him out of retirement and risking his perfect 49-0 career record. White also said he thinks McGregor could get as much as $75 million.

It remains a huge question mark how McGregor, a trained mixed fighter, would fair in a boxing match, but it's clear that he's pursued ths fight for a while.
