Everton’s club record signing Gylfi Sigurðsson scored an outrageous long-range goal on his full debut on Thursday evening.

Everton was contesting the second leg of its Europa League play-off against Croatian side Hajduk Split.

Ronald Koeman’s side was trailing the second leg by a 1-0 score in the 42nd minute but then Sigurðsson, a £45 million ($57 million) signing from Swansea City, stepped up with an insane shot.

The Icelandic attacking midfielder spotted Hajduk goalkeeper Dante Stipica off of his line and launched a 50-yard volley into the net.
