• Elon Musk has gone all-in for Trump, including recently speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania.
  • His super PAC has also spent tens of millions of dollars boosting Trump and GOP House candidates.
  • Musk is so deeply involved that he may knock doors himself, according to the NYT.

Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, is so dedicated to electing former President Donald Trump that he may end up knocking doors for him.

According to The New York Times, Musk has privately floated the idea of traveling across the battleground state of Pennsylvania in a campaign bus and knocking on voters' doors himself.

Musk's super PAC — America PAC — has spent more than $80 million so far to help Trump defeat Vice President Kamala Harris, along with nearly $10 million to help keep Republicans in control of the House.

Much of the super PAC's spending has gone toward canvassing operations, which involves knocking on voters' doors to either encourage them to turn out or convince them to support Trump.

Musk recently spoke at Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, which is where a gunman attempted to assassinate the former president over the summer. It was that night in July that Musk first endorsed Trump.

"President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution," Musk said at the rally. "He must win to preserve democracy in America."

Despite their newfound kinship, Trump and Musk haven't always been so close.

The Tesla founder opposed Trump in 2016, and after briefly serving on a White House advisory council during Trump's presidency, he said in 2022 that Trump should "sail into the sunset." Musk initially supported Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in this year's Republican primaries.
