Former President Donald Trump is lauding a children's book written by a former aide detailing the conflict between characters called "Hillary Queenton" and "handsome King Donald."
The book, written by Trump associate Kash Patel, details a baseless claim that the Steele dossier sparked an FBI investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. According to The New York Times, the FBI started investigating Trump's election campaign in July 2016, while former British spy Christopher Steele's report did not reach the FBI until September.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump wrote a glowing review of Patel's book, "The Plot Against the King," calling it a "true story about the Russia Collusion Hoax, written for children."
"Live the tale thru the eyes of great characters like the handsome King Donald and Kash the Wizard," Trump wrote. "This story showcases how Hillary Queenton and a Shifty Knight tried to destroy our democracy, but truth and the MAGA King prevailed."
"Support this great patriot, educate our children, and put a copy in every school across our land. Order yours now at theplotagainsttheking.com," Trump added.
The listing for the book, which retails for $19.99, said it was written "for kids" and meant to be "a fantastical retelling of Hillary's horrible plot against Trump."
According to The Guardian, other characters in the book include a "shifty knight," likely a reference to Democratic lawmaker Adam Schiff — who Trump has dubbed "Shifty Schiff."
"Hillary Queenton and her shifty knight had spread lies that King Donald had cheated to become King. They claimed he was working with the Russionians! But how could that be? Join Kash, the Distinguished Discoverer as he uncovers the plot against the King, and who was really behind all the lies," read the book's listing.
"I believe it is important for everyone to know the true story behind the Steele Dossier, and the Russian collusion narrative," read Patel's summary of the book.
For his part, Trump has also said that he is writing a book called "The Crime of the Century," centered on the baseless claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him.
