Conor McGregor may have just lost to Floyd Mayweather but the 29-year-old handled the defeat with style.
The UFC star turned up to the post-fight press conference wearing a typically extravagant suit, with a whiskey in hand, and told the media that he is making moves in the Irish whiskey market.
“Notorious Irish whiskey – coming soon,” McGregor told reporters. “I’m going to take over the Irish whiskey market.”
McGregor took over the mixed martial arts world in 2016 when he became the first same-time double champion in UFC history, winning the lightweight title when he was already the reigning featherweight champion.
He may have been unsuccessful in his boxing debut but the Irishman, confident as ever, is looking to take over the business world.
This is because McGregor has already joined forces with renowned California-based tailor David August to unveil a clothing line called August McGregor. He also has sponsorship agreements with Beats by Dre and Monster Energy.
The Notorious Irish whiskey deal looks like his latest venture and it is one the mixed martial artist endorses himself.
Taking the Mayweather loss on the chin, McGregor drank his own whiskey at the press conference. "Boy that whiskey tastes so good! Oh s--t. Keep an eye out for it."
