Armed police are responding to a stabbing at Sony’s office in London which has injured two people.

One person has been arrested, the Metropolitan Police said. The incident occurred at around 11.00 a.m. on Friday.

Staff were evacuated from the building on Derry Street, just off London’s Kensington High Street “as a precaution,” police said.

Police said they are waiting for an update on the victims’ condition.

A source at Sony told Business Insider the stabbing took place inside their office, which is on the third floor.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "One person arrested. No evidence of firearms involved. Not being treated as terror related."

The police previously said that firearms officers and the London Ambulance Service were at the scene.

"Officers remain on scene and the incident remains ongoing."
