A Japan Airlines plane set on fire after landing on the runway at Tokyo Haneda, the country's biggest airport, reports say.

The plane caught fire after landing at Tokyo Haneda from New Chitose Airport on Tuesday evening local time, Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported.

Japan Airlines said that the plane appeared to have collided with a Japan Coast Guard aircraft after landing, NHK reported.

Japan Airlines said that the roughly 400 passengers and crew on the plane had been evacuated, NHK reported. Flames and black smoke were seen coming out of the plane's windows, and multiple fire engines were on site, per the publication.

The plane, flying route JL516, is an Airbus 350-900, according to information from flight-tracking site FlightAware.
