The 2019 Oscars were handed out at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on Sunday night.
Marvel’s “Black Panther” took home Academy Awards for costume design, production design, and original score. “Roma” made history as the first Mexican film to win the award for best foreign-language film, and Alfonso Cuarón took home the trophy for best director. “
“A Star Is Born” was another notable winner, with the hit track “Shallow” winning the award for best original song. “Bohemian Rhapsody” won Oscars for sound mixing, sound editing, and film editing. Its star Rami Malek also won an Oscar, his first, for his portrayal of the Queen front man Freddie Mercury.
“Green Book” took the prize for best picture.
